Underground Tank Installation
From Start to Finish
Our Underground Tank Installation Process
Step 1
Set Up Appointment
You’ll want to schedule an appointment to have one of our experienced technicians perform a site survey. Determining your property line will be necessary as well as making sure all town requirements are being followed. The technician will collect details and measurements and a quote for the installation will be provided in 3-5 business days.
Step 2
The Appointment
Once the quote has been agreed upon, signatures and deposits will be required.
Step 3
Your Town’s Requirements
Every town has specific requirements we must follow.
Step 4
Required Documentation
Our Permits Department will contact you if additional information is needed to complete the permit application. Our installation dispatchers will send you all the necessary documents to be completed before scheduling your job.
Step 5
The Permit
Once your permit is approved by your town, our installation technicians will gather inventory, and make any necessary arrangements for when your appointment is scheduled.
Step 6
Installation Confirmation
A CSR will call you 2 days before your scheduled installation date to confirm your appointment.
Step 7
Installation Day
The install technician will start the installation. This includes installing the propane tank, running the gas line, and performing a pressure test to ensure the line is leak-free before calling for an inspection. Inspection dates and times will depend on town official availability.
Step 8
Inspection Approval
Once the inspection has been completed and approved by your town official, your installation can be backfilled per code. A CSR will call you to schedule a final connection to your house.
Step 9
Final Connection
The technician will install regulators, leak-test your system, check your LP equipment, and answer any questions you may have.
Step 10
Use Your Propane
This is the final step! A delivery truck will fill the remainder of your tank to its regulated capacity.
